West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is delivering one of the most ambitious hospital redevelopment programmes in the NHS and we have a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and motivated SACH Redevelopment Programme Manager (Band 7) to join our Redevelopment Team.
Based at St Albans City Hospital (SACH) (with travel to other sites), you will play a key role in coordinating programme activities, managing procurement and financial processes and supporting project planning and reporting.
The SACH Programme Manager will undertake a range of duties in the Redevelopment Programme team. The postholder will Programme Manage schemes that arise from the SACH redevelopment programme, undertaking duties that facilitate the delivery of the projects on time, on budget and achieving the benefits set out in the business cases.
As programme manager, you will lead projects on behalf of the Redevelopment team and coordinate input from workstream leads, to feed into the construction project.
Working with the SACH redevelopment team, the postholder will oversee projects, including producing timely minutes of meetings, reports and dashboards for project boards, keeping milestone schedules and programme structures up to date and administering risk, change and decision making logs.
With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.

Work with external Project Managers to develop robust reporting and programming schedules to align with the monthly governance cycles.
Use formal programme management methodologies to manage the programmes, including change, risk and programme reports, benefits realisation and post-implementation lessons learned.
Act as a focal point for communication for project stakeholders, including clinical colleagues, AEs an APs, Infection Control, ICT, Estates and Facilities.
Ensure appropriate governance and highlight reports are produced in accordance with agreed templates and formats and issues of non-conformance escalated appropriately.
Monitoring budgets and project spend against plan. Production of exception reports when project move outside of tolerance.
Working closely with Consultant, Contractor and other external advisors to deliver successful programmes with professionalism and care.
