Member Services Loans Officer
An exciting vacancy has arisen within our growing credit union…
This Member Services Loans Officer role is an opportunity to work in an FCA & PRA regulated environment. You will join our Member Services team based at the Lancashire Police Headquarters site assisting members with their loan applications along with learning about our products, service delivery to our members. We are an inclusive credit union with strong links across the emergency services, councils, schools and more across the North West. Our strategy is continuous growth with a high level of customer service delivered to current and new members.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Working with existing Loan Team to administrate, underwrite and process members loan applications. Including developing and implementing loan procedures
• Monitoring loan processing and working with Office Manager and CEO to ensure compliance with Blues and Twos Credit Union’s Policy for Lending
• Implementation of quality standards across all areas
• Identify and assist in updating staff on loan application issues and new products
Person Specification:

• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills & organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work on own
• Ability to work well as part of the tight deadlines with minimal supervision

• Willingness to participate in training
• Organised approach and flexibility in responding to a varied workload
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Experience and competencies:
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to learn new software quick and easily
• Appreciation of the importance of deadlines that impact the organisation
• Ability to problem solve, plan, and prioritise workloads, work on own initiative, under pressure, with minimal supervision and work to consistently high-quality standards, meeting
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with members
• Commitment to the overall aims and purpose of the credit union
Salary – £25,938 - £28,148 Pro-rata (Starting point dependent on experience).
Hours – 22.5 hours per week over 3 days
