In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of educators, support staff, and external professionals to ensure that every student receives the individualised support they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive inclusion policies and procedures
- Providing expert guidance and support to teaching staff to ensure effective differentiation and inclusive teaching practices
- Coordinating assessments and interventions for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to create holistic support plans for students
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students with SEND and making data-driven decisions to enhance their learning experience
- Leading staff training and professional development initiatives related to inclusive education
- Promoting a positive and inclusive school ethos through engaging with students, staff, and the wider community
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
- A relevant postgraduate qualification in inclusive education, SEND, or a related field
- Proven experience in leading inclusion initiatives and supporting students with diverse needs
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others to embrace inclusive practices
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in inclusive education
