We are looking for a professional, confident Deputy Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) who can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care. You'll be working 38.5 hours a week (Including shifts from Monday Sunday on a rota basis), at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone. We are looking for a Deputy Ward Manager to join us onBearsted Ward. Bearsted Ward is our 15 bed male PICU at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone and accepts emergency and crisis admissions. Referrals are accepted from all areas, including acute and prison services. Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is our state-of-the-art, 63 bed mental health facility for adults situated in the Kent Medical Campus in Maidstone. It is purpose built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment. The hospital will provide an important and much-needed service for local patients from Kent. Your day-to-day Provide clinical leadership, coaching & mentoring for the development of services Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and Healthcare Commission guidelines Take lead responsibility in undertaking regular care audits Maintain excellence through clinical practice development & quality improvement Be responsible for a planned pro gramme of support across your area of focus Be an active member of clinical working committees relevant to role Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing Co-ordinate all clinical aspects of the ward & ensure co-operation between clinical departments Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings & development of evidence/ research-based practiceWhy Cygnet?
