Heavy Fleet Planner – Based near Whitwell

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + hybrid working + excellent benefits

• Hybrid working: 2 days from home each week

About the Role:

• As the Heavy Fleet Planner, you will efficiently schedule and coordinate heavy haulage movements across a varied fleet, ensuring safe and compliant delivery for construction and heavy plant projects.
• A typical day includes planning vehicle routes, liaising closely with drivers, maximising utilisation, generating backloads, and working alongside operations and commercial teams to ensure smooth, accurate job completion.
• You will also support customer projects and collaborate with routing specialists on more complex movements.

About You:

To succeed as a Heavy Fleet Planner, you will bring strong communication skills, a solid understanding of heavy haulage, and the ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and efficiently. Experience with CAT 2 and CAT 3 movements is highly desirable, along with the confidence to make informed decisions and build positive working relationships with drivers and colleagues. CPC or relevant transport qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
