Summary
The Associate Divisional Director for Pathology Services is a one year fixed term role established to deliver the key trust objective of collaborative working between the Pathology Services at Tameside and Stepping Hill sites. The Associate Divisional Director is a key member of the Senior Team, will deputise for the Divisional Director and will make operational decisions for the areas under their management. There will be a requirement to take lead responsibility for complex cross Division projects, often inter-dependent, a strong aspect of the role is to promote clinical integration, enhance productivity and clinical efficiencies. The outcomes of which will serve to improve the patient experiences in access to care whilst providing greater integration across the two trusts. The post-holder will lead on corporate agendas relating to the operational portfolio and operating a devolved system within the Divisional management structure in which responsibility for budgets, objectives and clinical governance are clearly held at Divisional level. They will provide leadership and support working with clinical and non-clinical teams as well as corporate teams. Ensuring wide participation in the development and implementation of service plans to secure the greatest possible buy in from colleagues for key decisions and objectives particularly the opportunities for collaboration. The Associate Divisional Director will be responsible for line management of the Pathology team at Stockport and will have key relationships with all relevant internal and external networks at Stockport and Tameside. The postholder must be able to influence stakeholders across GM to ensure the interests of Stockport and Tameside Pathology services are well represented. The post holder will be expected to work in line with the Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care. If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.90.
