Reporting to the site Chief Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the engineering department operations and the engineering team.

Job requirements of Engineering Manager:

· To Manage and ensure the motivation and performance of the Engineering team, to provide rapid response to meet the needs of the factory production demands.

· To be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills and drive excellence within the engineering team.

· To work with the Business Management Teams to ensure Engineering compliance with all International, National and Business policies for Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment.

· To be responsible for the delivery and the installation of new machinery and ensuring that all plant and equipment comply with Health & Safety legislation, maintain relevant records and KPIs.

· Optimise all Engineering Labour and Material Costs including Spares, Raw Materials and Consumables.

· Responsible for the continuous improvement program to ensure that the Engineering department is current and maintaining PPM and rapid response.

· Ensure that the site planned maintenance system satisfies our auditors and is managed effectively to cover all plant equipment and buildings.

What you will need:

· Previous experience at Management level within manufacturing or FMCG

· Strong people management skills and experience in leading a team

· An engineering qualification and excellent technical knowledge

· Organisational skills, ability to manage workload and prioritise

· Strong communication skills
