Summary
Neway International are seeking a Public Transport Services Manager - Facilities & Environment to join our client based with Herefordshire Council.

The Role
As Public Transport Services Manager, you will lead the delivery of this vision. Working closely with bus operators, community transport providers, and stakeholders, you will drive forward projects that modernise and expand services. You will raise the profile of public transport across the council and county, ensuring collaboration and innovation are at the heart of service delivery.
This is a leadership role requiring strong people management skills, the ability to build and develop teams, and confidence in working with elected members and officers. You will oversee staff development, coordinate projects, and manage relationships with internal and external partners to achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of Herefordshire’s public transport strategy.
Manage relationships with bus operators, community transport providers, and stakeholders.
Supervise, support, and develop staff, building a motivated and effective team.
Coordinate and manage projects across multiple service areas.
Promote public transport within the council and across the county.
Ensure compliance with council policies and contribute to wider organisational objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Eligible to work in the UK.
Minimum of 2 years’ references/work history.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience in partnership working and project management.
Understanding of local authority structures and stakeholder engagement.
