A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 21 year old girl living in the Aberdare area. I am full of fun and have lots of energy; I like to laugh with my friends and joke about a lot. I love music and like to play music on my phone, sometimes I sing along! I like chatting to people especially about my favourite topic – food! I like to go out for meals with family and friends; sometimes we go bowling or the cinema too. I also go to yoga and a dance class once a week with my Mum.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I would like a PA to assist and support me in accessing and engage in community-based activities to promote my independence and social well-being in a safe and supported manner, to reassure me in an unfamiliar or busy environment.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 8 hours available per week to be used Mon-Friday
RATES OF PAY
£14.00 per hour + £0.40p mileage
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Supporting me to engage in different community-based activities including Shopping, Theatre visits, bowling eating out or any other events that may be of interest.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
A person who has a good sense of humour and is full of fun. A strong personality will be needed as I sometimes I think I know best, but I don’t always make the right decisions for myself. I will need to be encouraged and guided to make good choices for myself, for e.g food types, food quantities.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
