Job Title: Cleaning OperativeReports To: Soft Services Area managerLocation: Queens ArcadeContract Type: Part TimeHours: 40 (Monday - Friday 0800-1200)Salary: £13.08 per hour
Job Purpose:
To ensure that designated areas are cleaned to a high standard in line with site requirements and health & safety regulations, providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
-Carry out cleaning tasks to the highest standards as per the cleaning schedule.
-Ensure all areas such as offices, washrooms, mall areas, corridors, and communal areas are cleaned and maintained.
-Replenish consumables such as toilet rolls, soaps, and paper towels.
-Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with training and company procedures.
-Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
-Follow company and site-specific health and safety procedures at all times.
-Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.
-Comply with site security procedures, including wearing the correct uniform and identification.
Person Specification:
Essential:
-Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential - training provided)
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Good attention to detail
-Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
-Willingness to undergo training
Desirable:
-Knowledge of COSHH regulations
-Experience using cleaning machinery (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums)
Additional Information:
-Uniform and PPE will be provided.
-Full training will be given on induction.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
