About the Role

We’re looking for kind-hearted, dependable, and enthusiastic Care assistant (Extra Care) to join our dedicated team at Avondown House, one of our vibrant Extra Care schemes. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a real difference every single day by supporting adults to live independently in their own homes, within a warm and welcoming community.

This role is for 19.75 hours per week. The successful applicant will join a well-established team to deliver high quality care to individuals in their own homes. You will be working on a part time basis on a fixed 4-week rota which will include weekends and bank holidays.

As a Care Assistant (Extra Care), you will:

Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
Promote tenant’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
Providing support to access third party and NHS services
Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
Make a Real Difference

Transform Lives – Empower tenants to live with dignity and independence.
Team Spirit – Join a friendly, skilled, and supportive team who care deeply about what they do.
Grow Your Network – Collaborate with trusted care providers and third-party partners.
About You

Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided. This opportunity is ideal for an individual aiming to develop their career and gain hands on experience in a thriving and friendly workplace.
We like to ensure that we encourage people to be empowered in a supportive environment.

If you believe that you can make a real and positive difference to the lives of our tenants, we would love to hear from you!
