Summary
Do you see yourself as a caring, compassionate and dedicated leader? Hazel Garth Care Home is seeking an inspiring Assistant Manager to join our committed team and help us deliver outstanding care to our residents.
About Us:
Hazel Garth is a warm, welcoming dementia unit providing long term and respite care for older people. We believe in creating a supportive environment where both our service users and staff thrive.
You will:
Work effectively as part of a management team within the unit to support in providing leadership to staff, to recruit, motivate and develop staff employed within the service areas managed with the aim of achieving high quality service delivery.
Work in multi discipline manner with a wide range of stakeholder both internally and externally, as well as assisting with the general day to day running of the service
Assist with induction programs, in-house training programs and staff supervision and development.
Assist in ensuring where possible appropriate links are fostered with relatives and friends of each resident. You may be supporting people with end-of-life care. You would need to be able to cope with these emotional demands, able to show empathy and compassion.
Assist in promoting emotional and social growth in each resident recognizing and fostering areas of strength and strengthening areas of weakness.
Be responsible in all aspects of recruitment.
Be able to work across our other sites if support is required.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in care management or a senior care role
Strong leadership and communication skills
A genuine commitment to person-centred care
Ability to inspire and support a diverse team
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
