Summary

This role offers a unique chance to be part of a high-profile, nationally significant initiative. You will be supporting both the wider Business Unit and The Mersey Forest, playing a crucial role in the successful delivery of the Trees for Climate programme. This initiative, funded through the government’s multi-million-pound Nature for Climate Fund, has been led by The Mersey Forest team since 2020. Cheshire West and Chester Council acts as the accountable body, supporting 15 Community Forests across England to deliver this ambitious and impactful work.
As a Business Unit Support Officer, you will ensure the smooth running of the programme and support the Place & Growth Business Unit. Key responsibilities include providing business support across the Business Unit and The Mersey Forest, coordinating and supporting programme delivery through effective administration and communication, assisting with data collection, reporting, and monitoring of programme outcomes, responding to internal and external enquiries with timely and accurate information, supporting financial and performance reporting processes, and driving continuous improvement and collaborative working across the team.
