Job Description:
About you Do you enjoy spending time with young children, engaging with them and helping them learn? Do you care about their happiness and well-being? We would love for you to join our team! We have a variety of possible working hours, from full time (40 hours) or 3 full days (8-6) and Wednesday (8am-12)(40 hours), or Monday-Friday 8am-2pm and 12-6pm on rotation (30 hours).
Duties
Implement Planning In The Moment for 0-5 year olds.
Incorporate the Reggio Emelia Approach into practice
Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for all children and their families.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning journeys.
Manage daily routine, ensuring that all children are supervised and engaged in age-appropriate play and learning experiences.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and development.
Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Drive initiatives that promote children's health, safety, and well-being within the nursery environment.
Exhibit strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff members and contributing to their professional development.
The full roles and responsibilities agreed upon will determine the rate of pay within these parameters
Requirements
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care & Education
Preferable - proven experience in a similar early years setting.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development through play-based learning.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning provocations and maintaining records.
A willingness to engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills as an educator.
