Summary

We are looking for a person who is committed to protecting and improving the lives of individuals and their families.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated, well organised practitioner, who has experience of working within the Safeguarding Adult arena to provide additional support to our existing team. It is important that the candidate has experience of working closely with clinicians and other external statutory partners and must have a sound level of knowledge regarding current safeguarding adult legislation and statutory guidance .
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. In addition, the post holder will need to work effectively and flexibly to respond appropriately to challenging circumstances and be able to work on their own initiative.
This role supports the Head of Safeguarding (Children and Adults).
The role entails working across the local health and social care economy to prevent harm, fostering and facilitating multi-professional interagency working in respect of Safeguarding Adults.
Safeguarding training so that CWPT staff have the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to address actual and potential harm, including domestic abuse and undertaking reviews on behalf of CWPT where required.
To act as a resource on safeguarding adults issues, providing accessible, accurate and relevant advice and information to staff within CWPT.
Responding to requests for multiagency reviews and audits from the Safeguarding Boards / Partnerships.

• To promote the safeguarding of adults with care and support needs within the organisation.
• To identify and champion safeguarding adults development and innovations.

• Ensure that the views of service users, their carers, families and representatives are taken into account in the development and implementation of safeguarding adults service provision.
• To influence service delivery around domestic abuse, seeking to empower colleagues, clients, and carers.
• To overcome staff and public barriers to understanding the area of safeguarding adults including issues around domestic abuse and the assessment of mental capacity.
Training
• To support the Head of Safeguarding and Safeguarding team in meeting the safeguarding adults training needs for the organisations staff .
• To support the Head of Safeguarding and Safeguarding team in the design/deliver or commission training that gives the opportunity for retention of knowledge and facilitates transfer of learning experiences to the workplace and then to evaluate the training.
• To contribute to multi-agency pool in delivering training.
