Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team, supporting children across all primary key stages (EYFS,KS1 & KS2). This is a rewarding opportunity for people with a genuine passion for helping children with special educational needs to flourish both academically and emotionally.

We are especially looking for candidates with the following:

• Experience working with children with SEN (essential)
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to helping every child be the best they can be

Further details about the role

The successful candidate will be:

• Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and wider staff
• Providing targeted interventions and 1:1 or small-group support
• Helping to create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
• Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Forge positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop excellent professional relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Understand that, like adults, all children are different and therefore have individual needs and every child has the right to succeed to the best of their ability.
• Identify and enact ways to support all children, particularly children with social and emotional needs,
• Demonstrate a shared commitment to raising standards in all that we do.
• Be open minded and committed to continually improve their practice.
• Be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to also work individually using their own initiative.
• Be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity.
