Salary Range: SCP16 SCP18 (£30,518 - £31,537 FTE - pro rata salary £26,963.00 - £27,863.00)
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Full Time [37 hours per week - 39 weeks per year]

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Buile Hill's academic performance has seen a remarkable turnaround in just one academic year, with exam outcomes trebling and now above the national averages. While the 2025 performance tables are yet to be officially released, provisional data indicates that Buile Hill was outperformed only by two selective schools in Salford in terms of the percentage of students who pass English and Maths at a Grade 5 or higher placing it third overall on key attainment measures and the highest-performing non-selective school in the borough.
Perhaps most significantly, Buile Hill is on track to be named Salford’s most improved school reflecting the hard work of staff and students, and the transformative impact of support from NET, a nationally recognised multi-academy trust with a strong record of driving rapid improvement in schools.
Buile Hill Academy is therefore looking for an enthusiastic & dynamic Attendance and Cover Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the academy attendance team
- Line manage the Cover Supervisors within the academy
- Apply the academy attendance and punctuality policy
- Identify those children in need of support by reason of their absence from academy
- Assist the academy to safeguard students through joint work with other agencies, arranging and attending meetings as appropriate
- Prepare and maintain appropriate case notes and prepare documentation for legal action
