The Role

Carlisle Support Services is working with Cableway, our prestigious new client in London, and we’re looking for motivated, approachable, and dependable people to join our team.

The Security Manager will play a critical role in leading and developing a new team to successfully deliver security operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and expertise in security technology to maintain high standards of service and protection.

We’re looking for people who are

Previous experience in managing a team within a security environment is required for this role. What’s just as important is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Your core responsibilities will include

• Overseeing a team.
• Offering guidance, information, and a friendly face as a first point of contact for customers and for your team.
• Ensuring the team are following SOPs and being accountable for any KPI failings.
• Ensuring the safety and security of colleagues and customers, providing a sense of assurance.
• Being a smart, approachable, and proactive presence as a security supervisor representative.
• Managing and responding to incidents effectively while remaining calm under pressure.
• Conducting security patrols, managing access points, and deterring unauthorised activity.
• Monitoring CCTV systems to identify and respond to security concerns.
• Managing rostering to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient team deployment.
• Maintaining accurate daily logs and overseeing permit management processes.
• Completing regular audits (including radio audits) to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Producing monthly KPIs and coordinating monthly training to support continuous improvement.
• Leading investigations and supporting disciplinary processes where required.
• Building strong relationships as part of a supportive and professional team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Security Manager or similar leadership role.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence holder
• 5 years checkable work and address history.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
• A friendly and professional manner, with exceptional customer service skills.
• Experienced in customer-facing roles and busy working environments.
• A team player, flexible and supportive, putting team goals first.
• Effective people skills, able to interact with colleagues, customers, and members of the public in a positive and professional manner.
