We are particularly keen to hear from recent sixth form or college leavers who are ready to take the next step in their personal and professional development.If you are friendly, motivated, and keen to share your knowledge and skills, we would love to welcome you to our team as an Academic Improvement Mentor, supporting students as they overcome challenges in their learning journey.You don’t need years of experience—just enthusiasm, good communication skills, and a willingness to support others.What you’ll do:• Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who need extra help• Support students in the classroom alongside teaching staff• Help boost motivation, confidence, and study skills• See first-hand how your input can help someone succeedThis role is ideal for anyone considering a career in teaching, youth work, psychology, or any role that involves people skills. You will gain valuable experience, develop your communication and problem-solving abilities, and have something impressive to include on your CV or university application.GRADE OF POST: National Minimum/Living WageAged 18 to 20: £10.00 per hourAged 21+: £12.21 per hourHOURS OF WORK: Hours will be worked as and when required by agreement, between 08:30am and 5:00pm for up to 15 hours per week, term time, with the possibility of additional weeks during the remainder of term time and potentially during college holidays.Closing date for applications: 12pm on Friday 12th December 2025Interview date: Tuesday 16th December 2025
