Purpose of the Role

As our Contract Director, you will:

  • Be the face of Sodexo for a major client, providing exceptional account management and strategic leadership.
  • Deliver expert guidance on property management, budget efficiency, property strategy, risk management, and supply chain optimisation.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing contract management team, championing service excellence and compliance.
  • Lead the mobilisation and transformation of the client’s property function, ensuring a seamless transition and robust supply chain integration.
  • Partner with HR to build a dynamic, professionally qualified management team.
  • Drive the client’s transformational journey under the FM26 programme, establishing a new standard in property management.

About the Performance Partner Model

You’ll assure, advise, and integrate property services on behalf of the client, ensuring compliance and performance excellence across a complex, high-security estate. This includes managing service providers, technology solutions, budget, Helpdesk/CAFM, asset management, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee seamless service delivery across diverse internal stakeholder groups.
  • Lead the transition to a new operating model, driving stakeholder engagement and solution implementation.
  • Maximise commercial effectiveness, controlling costs and resources, and unlocking growth opportunities.
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational standards, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Act as a Sodexo ambassador and subject matter expert for the performance partner model.
  • Develop operational talent and succession pipelines for all leadership positions.
  • Champion safety and compliance in complex environments, protecting both Sodexo and client brands.

Your Impact

  • Develop and implement a cutting-edge property performance partner service.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for all contract-related matters.
  • Collaborate with contract teams and agencies to deliver client requirements with excellence.
  • Shape business planning and drive growth initiatives.
  • Oversee unified service delivery from Sodexo and internal teams.
  • Lead client contract negotiations and communication strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure account performance meets all SLAs and contractual commitments.
  • Lead on health, safety, and environmental compliance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent senior professional qualification.
  • Proven leadership in a performance partner/integrator or similar outsourced management model.
  • Extensive experience managing long-term client relationships in property/FM/Estates/QS/CS, with at least 10 years at management/leadership level.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Track record of mobilising high-profile accounts from scratch.
  • Strong presentation, commercial, and financial acumen.
  • Experience leading large, diverse, and hybrid teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable:

  • Qualification or experience in Business Management.
