Summary
There is the opportunity for the post holder to take part in an out of hours trauma on call. The Trust has strong links with Teesside University and has a track record of supporting trainees through various clinical courses provided by the University. Although the successful candidate will be based at University Hospital of North Tees, there will be a requirement to work cross site at the University Hospital of Hartlepool. It is a fixed term contract for 12 months. It is essential that the applicant has a good understanding of clinical risk management and experience of upper limb surgery. In addition to the challenges of the role, we expect commitment to clinical research, teaching and audit. Other attributes such as excellent inter-personal skills in both clinical and non-clinical environment are required. The applicant should also be able to enthuse, motivate and lead others whilst co-operating with consultants and other professionals in a sensitive and effective manner. Evidence of organising and prioritising workload is necessary. It is important that the applicant is a team player and adaptable to respond to changing circumstances and be willing to engage in NHS strategies.
