Summary
We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic KS1 Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly primary school in South Liverpool. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across Key Stage 1, helping pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing, maths, and social skills.
Your role will involve assisting in lessons, delivering small-group or 1:1 support, and encouraging pupils to stay focused, engaged, and confident. You may work with children who need extra help with early literacy and numeracy skills, as well as those with additional needs who require adapted activities or reassurance. A patient, nurturing approach and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.
You will be part of a supportive staff team, contributing to a calm, positive learning environment and providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing. The school is well known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and commitment to helping every child thrive.
This role would suit someone with experience in education, childcare, or early years who is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development. A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
