Summary

Patient Care Delivery To act as an expert practitioner demonstrating specialist knowledge, skills and expertise within the Recovery area and within the context of changing health care provision. Ensure that the privacy and dignity of patients is key in the provision of all care and clinical practice within the Theatre Recovery environment. Ensure that any Safeguarding issues are raised appropriately to enable investigation in relation to vulnerable adults and children To support the Safeguarding vulnerable adults and children/child protection quality assurance and improvement processes Work collaboratively when required with the vulnerable adult/child safeguarding team within the Trus Assist the Practice Educator to ensure that staff is aware of their training requirements for Child Protection and the Safeguarding of vulnerable adults and that these are identified within their annual appraisal Ensure that the needs of older people are kept central to practice and service development Work in collaboration with clinical leads in relation to national initiatives, Care Quality Commission standards and NICE guidelines.
