Summary
Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Do You Want To Help Make A Difference To Thousands Of People Each Year? We have a unique opportunity for 5 passionate would-be Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) Partnership. This role will involve working across Leeds, as well as weekly attendance to Sheffield University. will join LMWS on a one year, fixed term contract and the successful candidates will be employed by Northpoint, Inspire North, Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust or Touchstone. What you will be doing as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner: As a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you will assess and treat people with common mental health problems. You will be trained to used CBT-based low intensity interventions, including Guided Self Help, Computerised CBT and Psycho-educational classes. You are required to attend Sheffield University in person and will be supported to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions. The start sate for this post is Monday 2nd March 2026. What are we looking for in our ideal Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner? Interviews will be held week commencing 5th January 2026 Candidates must not be enrolled on any other HEI training or educational programme at the time of training. Candidates who have previously been enrolled and not completed a funded PWP NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression training course must provide evidence and reference from the previous HEI about extenuating circumstances that lead to withdrawal from the course. Previously funded applicants who have withdrawn without extenuating circumstance, or who have been excluded from a PWP course, are not eligible to apply. Candidates who intent to apply to start another HEE funded programme (e.g. DclinPsy/CAPS/ CBT) before the PG Cert completes need not apply.
