Summary
We have an opportunity for a Crisis Resilience and Welfare Administrator to work for 25 hours weekly in our Revenues team. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active individual who is capable of dealing with a range of administrative tasks.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
• To update and maintain the crisis and resilience fund database and other systems as required for the administration of the crisis and resilience fund
• To liaise with other officers as necessary in order to process applications
• To contact residents by telephone and in writing to respond to enquiries, ensuring evidence is collected.
• To obtain and collate information required to assess eligibility for Discretionary Housing Payments and pass information bundles to Benefits Assessors for decision.
• To contact residents by telephone and in writing to respond to applications, ensure evidence is collected and forwarded to our partner agencies and Benefits Assessors dependant on application type
• To report difficult and contentious issues to the Revenues and Benefits Team Leaders
• To comply with Mid Devon District Council’s Customer Care Standards and Code of Practice.
The post holder will be required to deal with the checking and processing of applications to the crisis and resilience fund and discretionary housing payments. Resolving problems/ issues as they arise and referring the Team Leaders where necessary. To refer applications with supporting information to our partner agencies and Benefits Assessors.
