We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Warehouse Team Leader to join our Aerospace division at Wattisham, providing essential warehousing services as part of an effective and efficient team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team and ensuring the seamless execution of all departmental processes.
How you create impact
- KPI Management & Reporting: Review your team's daily performance to ensureall internal and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved. Compile, distribute, and discuss productivity and performance reports with the team to assess, review, and continuously improve operational performance.
- System and Inventory Proficiency: Undertake all general warehousing duties, which includes the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as Forklift Trucks (FLT).
- Workload and Resource Allocation: Strategically manage the department workloads and resource allocation on a daily basis to maintain efficiency.
- Compliance & Inter-Agency Communication: Actively communicate with other agencies to achieve joint goals. Promptly report all discrepancies that may affect the contract's performance to the Operations Manager.
- Continuous Improvement: Help drive lean principles within the team
- Team Development: Continuously develop a highly customer-focused and motivated team.
- Supervision: Ensure fair and consistent supervision of all employees within the team.
- Policy Promotion: Promote the Company’s policies on Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment.
What we would like you to bring
- Crucial Qualification: Must hold a valid UAA MJDI qualification (User Account Administrator, Management of Joint Deployed Inventory).
- Demonstrable understanding of and experience in warehouse practices.
- Proven experience of working to agreed targets and specific processes, requiring good attention to detail.
- Full driving license is essential, and you must be prepared to operate MHE, including FLT.
- Knowledge of military aerospace logistics is advantageous
- Proven experience in managing a small team and work independently when required.
- Good written and spoken Communication skills
- Must be willing to undergo Security Check Clearance
