Summary
Community Greenways Programme Manager
Grade: 4b | Location: Hybrid | Contract: Fixed-term (2.5 years)

Salford City Council is looking for a strategic leader to manage Community Greenways: Urban Green Revival, an initiative delivered in partnership with Manchester City Council funded through Nature Towns and Citiesa collaboration between Natural England, the National Trust, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
As Programme Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of this ambitious urban greening programme, lead cross-sector partnerships, and ensure meaningful community engagement. You’ll manage the project team, including the Community Partnership Coordinator, and work closely with Manchester City Council and other stakeholders to deliver lasting environmental and social impact.
We’re seeking someone with senior-level experience in environmental or community programmes, strong partnership-building skills, and a track record of securing and managing external funding.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £ £21.50 . The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50
