About the Role
Hays Education is proud to be working with a primary school in Dagenham to recruit an outstanding and inspirational SENCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) to lead SEN provision across the Primary phase. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a passionate SEN leader to join a supportive team and make a lasting impact on pupils' lives.
This Primary School is a well-established school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, serving the local community in a modern, purpose-built environment. In December 2021, Ofsted graded the school as Good, highlighting the culture of high expectations and the safe, supportive environment for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality SEN provision.
*Oversee teaching, learning, and assessment for autistic pupils.
*Liaise with specialist staff and external professionals to coordinate input and improve practice.
*Communicate effectively with parents, including leading annual review meetings.
*Raise standards and ensure all pupil groups make good progress.
*Motivate and support colleagues with excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Think strategically and act practically to promote school improvement.
