Randstad Education is currently partnering with a variety of vibrant secondary schools across the Tendring district (including Clacton-on-Sea, Harwich, Frinton-on-Sea, and surrounding areas).
We are urgently seeking adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic Supply Teachers for General Cover roles starting immediately.
This is the perfect opportunity for experienced teachers seeking a better work-life balance, or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience in different school settings.
As a General Cover Supply Teacher, your main priority is classroom management and ensuring students remain on task. You will not be expected to be a subject specialist in every lesson.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects (Key Stage 3 & 4).
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Leaving handover notes for the returning class teacher.
- Zero planning and Zero marking required.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Flexibility to work on short notice (morning calls).
- A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Access to a vehicle is advantageous due to the location of some schools in the Tendring area.
