In return, we offer a supportive and stimulating work environment with a range of benefits and professional development opportunities.Role OverviewWe are seeking an organised and customer-focused Exams Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide an effective, efficient and learner-centred examination and assessment service. You will support all aspects of the examination process, from registration through to certification, while ensuring awarding body regulations are followed and that exam arrangements run smoothly across the College.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegister students accurately and on time for all external examinations, ensuring full compliance with College procedures and awarding body requirements.Develop a thorough understanding of awarding body rules and communicate them clearly to academic staff.Work collaboratively within the Examinations Team to coordinate exam timetables, invigilation, room bookings and any additional support requirements.Manage the secure receipt, storage, distribution and return of exam papers and scripts, resolving issues as needed.Brief invigilators and students regarding exam procedures and special arrangements.Distribute entry information and examination results promptly to students and staff.Check, process and distribute certificates issued by awarding bodies.Enter results into the College student records system and support the production of accurate achievement data.Deliver high-quality customer service, providing advice, guidance and support to learners, academic teams and colleagues on examination-related matters.Support colleagues across the Department and at other College campuses when required.Undertake any other duties reasonably associated with the role.
Essential Skills and ExperienceStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently where required.Confident IT skills, including experience working with computerised systems (training will be provided).A proactive and flexible approach to meeting deadlines and operational needs.
