Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join the Medway and Swale Mental Health Together Plus Team.

The post is integral to the team where you will be working in the reception area of Britton House. You will be meeting and greeting clients and visitors to Britton House, Gillingham and answering the phones.

You will need to exhibit empathy and compassion when dealing with clients face-to-face and on the phone. You will also be supporting the team with admin tasks.
• Having contact with patients, carers, relatives and other external stakeholders
• Using the patient record system RiO (training provided)
• Having contact with patients, relatives, carers and other external stakeholders
• Taking phone calls and passing on messages to the relevant clinicians/email inboxes
• Meeting and greeting patients and the public who visit Britton House
• Good keyboard skills
• Responsible for the opening and distribution of all incoming post
• Scanning and uploading of documents
• Assisting with the booking of room queries

It is important that the successful applicant exhibits empathy and compassion, has a professional and flexible attitude, likes being part of a team, has good communication and interpersonal skills, can prioritise workloads and can work to agreed timescales.

Ideally educated to GCSE standard, with A to C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Previous Reception/Administrative experience, including dealing with clients in a professional, empathetic manner.
