Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Berkshire Eating Disorder Service Adult team as a full time Assistant Psychologist.We are recruitingafull time assistant psychologist.
Weare looking for people who have minimum one year's experience working in mental healthand experiencerunning groups.
Our Assistant Psychologists are highly valued andimportant membersof our team, contributing to the compassionate and professional care of people accessing our service. The role will be varied and include a balance of clinical activities, service-evaluationand project work. The post offers the valuable opportunity to learn from a highly skilled team of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Dieticians and Mental Health Practitioners.
We are looking foranAP to join ourDay Programmeteamwiththe role beingbased atSt Marks Hospital in Maidenhead.
The successful applicant will havepreviousexperience of working with people with mental health difficulties. You will be a team-player and thrive in a varied role, using initiative, anddemonstratingself-reflection. Excellent communication, time-managementand organisation skills are essential. Innovation and service improvement will excite you.Above all, youwill show warmth,sensitivityand compassion in your care of our patients. Your contribution will be rewarded with the support of a dedicated team that strives to create a progressive, responsive,respectfuland happy environment.
• To provide support to all aspects of theDay Programmeand to all team members in their activities
• To provide clinical interventions on aone-to-onebasis and to lead and co-facilitate therapeutic groups including implementing behavioural/cognitive programmes.
• To engage patients in therapeutic activities and interventions as part of their care and treatment plans and tomonitorand evaluate progress, refininginterventionsas necessary.
• To be involved in service development, qualityimprovementand audit.
• To be actively involved in our online support network, SHaRON.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. An upper second-class honours degree or higher in Psychology
1. Eligible for Graduate membership of British Psychological Society.
1. Previouswork experience (paid or voluntary) in mental health.
1. Experience of assessment and psychological intervention
