Summary

Ambassadors Resourcing is looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator for an outstanding nursery in Oldbury. The role involves providing 1:1 support to a child with Down’s Syndrome. SEN experience is required, in addition to a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. The role starts in January 2026, and working hours will be 9:00am – 12:45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Job Description
• The successful Nursery Practitioners will:
• Have a passion and commitment to supporting children who have SEN
• Be confident in building effective relationships with pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Be flexible, dynamic and compassionate, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Have sound knowledge of the EYFS
• Encourage pupils to interact with others
• Encourage independence, helping the children with transition around the
setting and personal care needs
• Promote and nurture the children’s development of creativity, problem solving,
individuality, and self-confidence.
• Engage in excellent communication with the team and parents/carers
• Actively promote & support the safeguarding of all children, ensuring that the
policies and procedures of the day nurseries and Ambassadors Resourcing are
observed and their responsibilities are understood

Requirements
• The successful Early Years Educator must have:
• Level 3 in Child Care and Education or the equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• A current Paediatric First Aid certificate
• A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 in English, or the equivalent
• The ability to speak fluent English, as this post is covered by Part 7 of the
Immigration Act (2016).
• An enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a
legal right to work in the country
• Two acceptable reference checks from previous employers, including from a
childcare & education setting, or educational institutions from the last 2 years
• An in-person interview which will include questions about safeguarding and the
candidate’s understanding of working with children
• Shortlisted candidates will be subject to Check a Teacher’s Record & an online
search as part of Ambassadors Resourcing Safer Recruitment checks
• Please note that this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act
1974 and the amendments to the Exemptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
