Summary
Applicants must be living in the United Kingdom with a valid UK Passport or UK citizenship.
Applicants must be physically capable and have a good attitude to work and have good level of spoken & written English language.
Be able to take instructions, work on their own & as part of a team.
Duties will include,
Lifting lily crates to the greenhouse floor and re-stacking onto pallets when the crop has finished, the lily crates can weigh up to 15 kg.
Emptying of lily crates to a conveyor belt.
Cut flower harvesting / cropping / grading and bunching.
Crop planting, working on a planting line and also planting on the greenhouse floor.
General crop maintenance, lifting of crop supports, inserting wood and metal stakes.
Moving crop wire support netting.
Crop seed bed preparation, weeding and general nursery duties.
Tray washing & pressure washing.
Training will be given on all roles as required.
85% of the work is undercover.
Overtime will be available
Ability to work in all areas & quickly with hands is essential.
A good work ethic is essential.
The staff have to be able to work as part of a team and be able follow instructions. Good candidates have the potential to have the work period extended.
Hours 39 hours per week , plus overtime at 1.25 over basic pay
For the best working candidates increased pay rates will be awarded on performance.
