Summary

Base Location: Swindon

Salary: £25,684 - £27,011.52 depending on skills and experience and working hours - Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. Overtime there for those who want it

Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

Could you be our next Trainee Jointer to join the team and drive this success forwards?

What will I be doing in this role?

This role involves a mix of Street Lighting work and Low Voltage (LV) jointing tasks on the highway network. It’s a hands-on, physically active position where you’ll be working outdoors in all weathers, carrying out excavation and reinstatement work to support LV jointing activities, working closely with an experienced Jointer.

In a typical day, you could expect to be;

Installing and maintaining street lighting apparatus and furniture, this could be street lights, signposts or signs
Taking part in diagnosing underground faults on Private Network's
Work on DNO and IDNO Networks
Undertaking excavation and reinstatement works associated with LV Jointing
Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public
Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
What do I need to be successful in the role?

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
A good work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to undertake manual, physical work
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures
Full UK Driving Licence
Confidence to make safe decisions on site

G39 electrical safety training

MEWP/IPAF training (working at height)

First Aid qualification

CSCS or ECS card
