Summary
Nigel Thurley Automotive Limited has been established since 2008 and has provided the people of Helston and surrounding areas with professional car servicing and repairs.
We’re looking for a capable all-round motor vehicle technician (qualified or still in training) to join the busy team at our workshop in Helston. We’re a family run business and pride ourselves on providing the best service to all customers, having built a valued reputation for quality which continues to grow in our local area.
The successful applicant will have some experience with modern materials and procedures, together with the ability to produce a consistently high quality of work as part of the team and be totally committed to our excellent standards of customer care.
As a Vehicle Technician/Motor Mechanic you will need to offer:
A broad technical knowledge
the ability to work without supervision and as part of a team
a proven track record producing high quality work in a busy motor trade environment
a full driving licence
commitment to high standards in all aspects of work
experience of a wide range of car makes and models
Job Description
• to inspect, diagnose, service and repair vehicles of all types to the manufacturer’s guidelines and safety standards
• electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, repair & installation
• road-testing vehicles to test repair work
• discussing required repairs with customers
• accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
• cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• team player with a good sense of humour
