Summary
The Marine Alliance for Science and Technology for Scotland (MASTS) Directorate is based at the Scottish Oceans Institute (SOI) at the University of St Andrews. MASTS is seeking to appoint a full time Administrative Assistant to support its role in running MASTS, together with the Directorates associated roles in delivering a Doctoral Training Programme and a range of research projects.
The start date is as soon as possible, and the position will be fixed term for 24 months in the first instance. The post will be based at the Scottish Oceans Institute, a state-of-the-art working environment, and the expectation is that person appointed will need to work physically at this location with the provision for some remote working, subject to agreement. The role holder may need to occasionally travel for some events/meetings, including a weeklong event in Glasgow in November.
The post holder will provide general administrative support to the Directorate team. This will include, but is not limited to, diary and event management, invoice, receipt, and credit card management, organising travel, meeting rooms, and catering, liaising with external administrators, and dealing with stakeholder queries. There will be opportunities for advancement and training for this role for the appropriate candidate.
