Your Role
• Lead clinical care forRedwood 2, managing16 beds(with rare flexibility up to 20)
• Provide senior medical leadership & supervision to junior doctors and trainees
• Engage inservice development,business planning, andacademic programmes
• Maintain compliance withGMC registration,Mental Health Act Section 12(2)approval, and professional codes
Job Plan:
10 PAs(7.5 DCC and 2.5 SPA) dedicated to inpatient work

Main Responsibilities
• ✅ Manage, appraise, and provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff
• ✅ Ensure compliance withNew DealandWorking Time Directivefor junior doctors
• ✅ Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care
• ✅ Accurately record and submit clinical activity data
• ✅ Participate inservice and business planningfor the locality and wider mental health service
• ✅ Engage in annual consultant appraisal and job plan review
• ✅ Attend and contribute to the Trust’s academic programme and CPD activities
• ✅ MaintainGMC registration,Section 12(2) approval, and professional standards
• ✅ Collaborate with managers and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery
• ✅ Support financial planning and management within the service
• ✅ Deliver high-quality, evidence-based senior medical care in acute and locked rehabilitation settings
• ✅ Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care
• ✅ Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and carers
