Crynodeb
We are seeking an experienced Energy & Sustainability Manager to lead energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across our client's estate. This pivotal role will ensure best practice, innovation, and compliance with all relevant standards, driving continuous improvement in energy and environmental performance.
You will develop and implement energy and environmental action plans, manage data and reporting streams, support environmental campaigns, and maintain robust governance of all related documentation and processes.
Working collaboratively with operational teams, stakeholders, and external partners, you will help shape our sustainability strategy and deliver measurable results.
- Competitive Salary - Up to £70,238 per annum, depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Annual bonus (up to 4%) - subject to performance (historically paid out)
- Matched pension contributions (5-6%)
- Energy & Environmental Data Management: Collect, analyse, and report on energy, utilities, waste, recycling, and renewable data streams across all sites.
- Project Support & Evaluation: Provide technical support for energy-related projects, including calculations, M&V assessments, and lifecycle evaluations.
- Building Management System (BMS) Oversight: Lead BMS optimisation and ensure strategy documents are maintained and implemented.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for energy and environmental matters, leading regular calls and reviews.
- Environmental Management System (EMS): Manage internal audits and support external ISO and regulatory audits.
- Waste & Recycling Management: Oversee data collection and integration into sustainability dashboards.
- Training & Capability Building: Deliver training and lead cultural change initiatives to embed sustainability.
- Campaign & On-Site Engagement: Support environmental campaigns and on-site engagement activities.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance and contribute to corporate energy and sustainability strategies.
- Qualifications: Degree in a relevant scientific, engineering, or energy/environmental discipline. Membership of The Energy Institute or equivalent; Chartered Energy Manager status is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of five years in energy management with strong leadership, data analysis, and project management skills.
- Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and IT proficiency. Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for sustainability are essential.
