About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver tailored, engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN
- Plan, differentiate and adapt learning to support a variety of abilities, including those with autism, communication needs, learning difficulties and SEMH
- Work closely with support staff, therapists and the SENCO to ensure consistent and effective provision
- Create a safe, nurturing and structured environment that encourages progress and independence
- Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to support individual learning plans
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider team
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or a strong interest in working with SEN pupils
- Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Show patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be confident in adapting teaching strategies to meet a wide range of needs
