About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Oldham. This is an exciting opportunity to work with secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and deliver pre-prepared lessons across multiple subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe, calm, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, responding appropriately to challenging behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records of student engagement and behaviour as required.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience working with secondary pupils, ideally in a SEMH or PRU setting, is desirable.
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
- Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow pre-prepared lesson plans accurately.
