Summary

Our client, a respected educational institution in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-time SEN Teacher to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student. Your primary focus will be to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) that align with the national curriculum while accommodating the specific requirements of your students. You will work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that each child receives the necessary support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Assessing students' abilities and identifying their specific learning needs
- Designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop strategies for supporting students with SEN
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress, both academically and behaviourally
- Communicating regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child's development
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN education

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with SEN in a classroom setting
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping every child reach their full potential
