Are you a patient, nurturing and reliable TA looking to make a difference in a specialist setting?

We're working with a welcoming primary school in Hockley with a well-established resource base for pupils in KS1 and KS2 who are working at early developmental levels. Children have a range of needs, including Autism, are non-verbal, and some are pre-EHCP or already have an EHCP in place.

This is a full-time position supporting children 1:1 and in small groups, using EYFS-style play-based learning approaches tailored to their needs. The role is ideal for someone with SEND experience who's confident using visuals, sensory strategies and Makaton or PECs.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with ASD and communication needs
- Use EYFS-based learning to support KS1/2 pupils working below expected levels
- Implement structured routines and visual supports
- Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to deliver personalised interventions

Who We're Looking For:
- SEND experience, ideally with ASD and/or non-verbal pupils
- Previous experience working within a Primary school
- Calm, consistent, and enthusiastic approach
- Experience with PECs, Makaton or similar

Why Work with Long Term Futures?
- Long-term, stable work with the potential for a permanent role.
- No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
- A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
- Trial days instead of formal interviews to ensure the right fit.
- Access to free CPD training, including Understanding Autism, Behaviour Management, and further professional development/refreshers.

Next Steps - Our 4-Step Process
- Apply - Submit your CV via the application page.
- Initial Call - Our team will discuss your experience and preferences.
- Trial Day - Experience the school before making a decision.
- Start Work - If the school is the right fit, you're ready to begin.

All applicants will need a valid DBS and two references to be considered for a trial day.
