Chalk Education is thrilled to be partnering with a fantastic special school in Camberley to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Support Worker.

The school boasts outstanding facilities, including therapy rooms, sensory rooms, and expansive outdoor spaces. They support students aged 3-19 with a broad spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including complex medical needs, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and challenging behaviours. Every student has a Statement of Educational Needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to ensure personalised support.

Job Description:

In this exciting permanent role, every day will be both fulfilling and dynamic! You'll provide 1:1 support to students throughout their entire school day-from classroom engagement to assisting during lunch and break times. Working closely with the class teacher, you'll help deliver interactive activities and contribute to a vibrant, safe, and supportive learning environment. Safeguarding and enhancing student welfare will be central to your role.

The Ideal Candidate:

Confidence in delivering personal care is essential. Strong communication skills, effective behaviour management, a caring attitude, and flexibility are required.

You must provide suitable references, demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Training in areas such as PECs or Team-Teach is highly advantageous.
