Job Introduction:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team at Dorset Police,Radipole Lane Weymouth DT4 9WN.As a Cleaning Operative with Sodexo, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and presentable at all times. This is an essential role that requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

  • To manage a team of cleaning operatives & Front Line Colleagues to deliver a specific standard of cleaning, to client specification
  • To be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the cleaning operatives & Front line teams within your specified team.

What you’ll do:

  • Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the cleaning service delivered to the client, as requested.
  • Undertake specific training on the relevant cleaning offer
  • Wear the company uniform at all times whilst at work
  • Wear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the manager
  • Comply to all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping/infection control/ security
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the cleaning manager
  • Conduct all required training with cleaning operatives in relation to operational/ legal / client / cleaning offer requirements
  • Ensure that all cleaning operatives adhere to the site/cleaning offer colour coding policy
  • To report all building defects to the cleaning manager / client
  • To deliver staff team briefings, as required
  • To attend team / client meetings, as required
  • To collate information in relation to payroll, as required.
  • To complete all administration, as specified by the regional supervisor
  • To liaise with the specified client contact, as directed by the regional supervisor
  • To manage the ordering and distribution of cleaning consumables
  • To undertake cleaning audits in relation to service delivery / offer compliance, as requested.

What you bring:

  • A strong commitment to high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.

Essential:

  • Experience of the undertaking of all cleaning tasks
  • Computer literate
  • Basis numeracy / literacy skill

Desirable:

  • Supervisory experience
  • NVQ
  • BICSc COPC
