Summary

Contract Type - Part Time, Permanent - 20 hours per week

Hourly Rate - £12.60 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen/Refectory Assistant to join our friendly team at Oaklea Convent, which is home to the Sisters of Mercy and managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services.

We pride ourselves on working in partnership with the Sisters to support them in the care of their elderly members and the management of their care homes. You will be required to carry out a range of duties as detailed in the job descriptions to support the smooth running of the service.

Do you have;

An ability to demonstrate the core values of the charity and the Sisters of Mercy
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to attain)
Cooking experience
Experience of working in a busy kitchen
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook and good word processing skills
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent organisational skills
Able to work as part of a team and using own initiative
Ability to respond to guidance and direction
Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends)
