At CITB, we’re committed to delivering high-quality training that reflects the latest industry standards. We’re looking for a Vocational Instructor in Construction - Floorcovering to join our team and inspire learners to succeed in their careers and beyond.

Role: Vocational Instructor (Floorcovering)

Location: NCC Scotland, Inchinnan, PA4 9RQ (5 days a week)

Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent

Grade: SC3

Target Salary: £47,973 per annum

What you’ll be doing:

Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons aligned with our Teaching, Learning and Assessment Strategy
Develop inclusive, high-quality learning and assessment resources
Use initial assessments to tailor learning and provide individual support for every learner
Give regular, constructive feedback to help learners improve and achieve their goals
Track and monitor progress using our Learner Management System
Support learners to develop essential English, maths, and digital skills alongside technical knowledge
Implement strategies to help learners who fall behind get back on track
Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment and uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
Maintain strong links with industry professionals to keep your knowledge current
What we’re looking for:

Essential:

Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification in construction floorcovering
Relevant industry experience and excellent knowledge of current practices
Level 2 or above in English and maths (or equivalent proficiency)
Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within 12 months)
Assessor Awards (or willingness to achieve within 12 months)
Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills (Microsoft Office 365)
Desirable:

Higher-level construction qualification
Level 5 teaching qualification
Experience delivering apprenticeships
