Summary
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.Duties will include assess and provide a high quality standard of podiatric care to high risk patients in the local population.To assess, diagnose and provide a comprehensive range of treatments by various techniques and specialist equipment to manage various foot disorders.To work as part of a multi-professional team to deliver high quality care to high risk patients within East Lancashire Hospitals Trust providing advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals.To monitor closely and formulate treatment plans for high risk patients such as those patients with Diabetes, Peripheral Vascular Disease and Connective Tissue Disorders enabling prompt diagnosis and specialist treatment.To provide specialist advice and care management plans for Integrated Care Team Staff, Treatment Room Nurses, GP's, other health care professionals and Podiatry colleagues.To provide specialist programmes of care through assessment and diagnosis to patients with complex pathologies such as ischaemia, diabetes, neuropathy and ulceration following referrals direct from GP's, other healthcare professionals and Podiatry colleagues.
