Summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities Perform high-quality MRI scans and other cross-sectional imaging (CT as required), adhering to clinical protocols. Prepare and support patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance. Maintain patient safety, including monitoring for adverse reactions and adhering to radiation and MRI safety protocols. Assist in the development, optimisation, and implementation of MRI and cross-sectional imaging protocols. Evaluate image quality and make adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy. Ensure compliance with HCPC registration requirements, departmental procedures, and professional standards. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in line with information governance and data protection standards. Work closely with radiologists, fellow radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and service delivery. Provide guidance and support to junior staff or trainees as required. Perform routine checks, quality assurance, and maintenance of MRI and other imaging equipment, reporting any issues promptly. Person Specification / Requirements HCPC-registered Radiographer with a strong focus on MRI. Experience in cross-sectional imaging, ideally including MRI and CT. Knowledge of imaging protocols, quality assurance, and safety standards. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, friendly team.
