Neway International are seeking a Carelink Mobile Officer (Day Shifts)
(Social Care Non-Qualified) to join our client Bromley Council.
Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS,
Hours: 35 per week (rota-based shifts between 07:00 – 21:00, 4–5 shifts over 7 days including weekends)
Start Date: 08 December 2025
Duration: ongoing
Pay Rates: PAYE £13.91 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £18.00 per hour
About the Client
Bromley Council’s Adult Services division is committed to delivering safe, responsive, and high-quality care to residents. The Carelink Community Alarm Service provides vital support to vulnerable adults, ensuring they receive timely assistance in emergencies and that their homes remain safe and secure.
The Role
As Carelink Mobile Officer, you will provide an efficient and comprehensive service to Carelink customers. You will respond to emergency calls, deliver personal care when required, and ensure homes are secure. The role also involves installing and demonstrating alarm units, conducting risk assessments, liaising with care agencies, and promoting the Carelink service. This is a frontline role requiring flexibility, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Respond immediately to emergency calls, assessing situations and taking appropriate action, including contacting emergency services
Provide personal care in emergencies or when care services fail to attend, using appropriate moving and handling aids
Ensure customer homes are secure and contact next of kin as required
Visit prospective customers to complete assessments and install alarm units safely
Undertake environmental risk assessments and maintain accurate records on customer details
Liaise with care agencies and other services to ensure customers receive appropriate support
Conduct routine visits to check alarm equipment and update customer biographies
Promote the Carelink service through information sessions and community engagement
Use Council vehicles responsibly, ensuring they are roadworthy before shifts
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, confidentiality, and equality policies
Candidate Requirements
Previous moving and handling experience
Experience working in Adult Social Care or the care sector
Some knowledge of Care in the Community legislation
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to empathise with vulnerable adults and respond calmly in emergencies
Must be a driver with a full UK driving licence (non-negotiable; cars available on site)
Flexibility to work rota shifts, including weekends
Enhanced DBS required
